Rob Alderman

After growing up in Norfolk, VA and fishing the Chesapeake Bay, Rob moved to the Outer Banks of North Carolina in 2000, where he still lives with his family. Rob is an avid pier, surf, and kayak fisherman. In 2008, he started his own kayak fishing guide service, Outer Banks Kayak Fishing. His guide service is a full time job for Rob during the spring, summer, and fall seasons. He loves to target anything that swims, but he has a passion for red drum of all sizes. If Rob isn’t sitting in a Bonafide Kayak he can be found on the end of a local pier or driving down the local beach.

“There is something about the pound for pound fight of a red drum that drives me crazy and keeps me begging for more. Being that it is a near shore fish means that anyone with access to saltwater in North Carolina has an opportunity to catch one and enjoy the fight for themselves.”
