Wayne Bradby

Chesapeake, VA

Wayne Bradby grew up in a military family and graduated from the University of South Carolina with a finance degree. He is the owner of WLB & Associates and Acrylic-Werks Polish, and has been kayak fishing for the past eighteen years. He is the tournament director for the Tidewater Kayak Anglers Fish for Charity event that supports Heroes on the Water and Project Healing Waters, and has several freshwater and salt water citations from the state of Virginia. He has fished most of the major East Coast tournaments, including placing in the Jacksonville tournament, fishing the Jamaican Bay tournament, and winning the Wilmington, North Carolina tournament a few years ago.

Now, he fishes primarily for relax, enjoy being outdoors, and bringing home a meal. However, he sees kayak fishing to be all about getting back to your roots, exploring new areas, meeting great kayak anglers, and sharing your experiences with other anglers. His favorite experience? The night he caught twenty-four red fish in twenty-four casts!

“While the sport has changed since I started, it it still, at it’s core all about getting out, having fun, meeting people, and being an ambassador for the sport. And even though we are in the best kayaks on the market, it’s really all about getting back to your roots, exploring new areas, meeting great kayak anglers, and sharing that experience.”
