The Bunkster features two fixed uprights configured in the “bunk-style” configuration, where the bars are parallel to the hull of your vessel, which fits many hull shapes of modern-day kayaks. The uprights can easily be repositioned along the axle to maximize compatibility with different kayak widths and body lines of the hull. The tie-down point is designed for 1” flat webbing cam straps (not included), but you can also use rope with less than 5\/16” diameter. One distinct difference you will find from the BeadLoc, hard surface tires is the Sand Tires do not feature the integrated tie down point on the end on the wheel hub. For added grip on the underside of your kayak, the Bunkster includes four super “grippy” rubber bumpers. The wheels remove by depressing the button behind the hub on the axle and can be done in seconds. The fixed uprights remove by lifting the orange position detent lever and sliding them off the axle.
