Daryl Boyd
Daryl Boyd was born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida. He grew up fishing, and got into kayak fishing about eight years ago. He loves kayak fishing because it gives him the opportunity to fish anywhere, including places where boats wouldn’t typically be able to go into. In addition to this, it allows him to be more connected to the environment and to the fish he is trying to catch. He enjoys tournament fishing, and has fished in many online charity tournaments. He also enjoys the YakAttack tournament benefiting Heroes on the Water and Project Healing Waters, and has participated for the past three years. In 2018, he took won the Bass Division.
In his spare time, he volunteers with two different chapters of Heroes on the Water as a guide. He also volunteers as a presenter for several kayak fishing seminars, as well as kids fishing events designed to teach young people responsible fishing and to be good stewards of the environment. He is a member of the Florida Bass Paddlers club, which participates in fellowship, tournaments, and fundraisers for local organizations and promotes the sport of kayak fishing.
His favorite kayak fishing memory was winning the 2018 YakAttack Bass Division. “Not just because of the win, but also for the opportunity to fish out some incredible lakes with great friends. The camaraderie to the event is second to none, which made winning even more special – that, and the Rob Choi fish print.”
“I considered myself an avid fisherman; getting involved in kayak fishing opened up not only a lot of water I would never fished, but an entirely different fishing experience and an amazing community of anglers. It’s fishing with a front row seat. And to me, being a part of the Bonafide Team represents a front row seat in the fishing industry.”
