Jeremiah Burish
Jeremiah Burish from La Crosse, WI, has been fishing since he was 10 years old. Even though his family didn’t fish, his friends did. He used to hate going to their houses because he knew they’d go fishing. “…until I caught back to back 3 foot northern pike, and fully immersed myself ever since!” He’s been kayak fishing since 2017. His first ever kayak tournament was a KBF Trail Event in La Crosse, WI, and he loved it. He finished third, and it absolutely hooked him. Since then (about two years ago) Jeremiah has accumulated “24 Top 10 Finishes, including five third-place finishes, four second-place finishes, and two tournament wins.” He works with other people who love the outdoors daily as he works for Explore La Crosse (La Crosse County Convention & Visitors Bureau) to attract and host major sporting events, including major fishing tournaments.
“Kayak fishing allows me to reach waters that boats cannot access. This shallow water fishing puts me closer to nature, away from the masses, and more in tune with the fish.”
