Timmy Dixon

Timmy Dixon, owner at New River Outdoor Adventures, has been fishing for 30 years. While he’s only been kayak fishing for three years, he loves the challenge and skill level it involves. “My home waters are the New River in southwest Virginia, and this is the ultimate way to break this water down.” One of his favorite kayak fishing memories was the 2017 March Madness tournament he fished with his wife, Minda. “Being able to share the water with someone on a good day is the best, especially when it’s your wife.”

Timmy not only enjoys participating in fishing tournaments- he also hosts them. His store New River Outdoor Adventures hosted three events on the New River in Virginia. “We are huge kayak supporters and encourage everyone that visits are area to enjoy the river.” He also does some part time small mouth bass guiding on the New River.

“Fishing is the only time I feel free and in control at the same time. Free of all worries, and in control of my next cast.”
